This policy applies to the product CanJournals developed by Zaozao Island Technology CO., Ltd. In app stores and related documents, the terms "Zaozao Island Technology," "we," or "CanJournals" may be used for brevity. Since the software and services are licensed to you, we may also refer to ourselves as the "Licensor" below.

The CanJournals App refers to the mobile terminal software and services legally owned and operated by Zaozao Island Technology CO., Ltd and/or its affiliates. All rights and operations of CanJournals belong to us.

We and CanJournals are committed to protecting the personal information and privacy of users (hereinafter collectively referred to as "users" or "you") who use our products and services (hereinafter "CanJournals Services").

Our goal is to help you record more information efficiently, organize and search your data conveniently. We strive to collect minimal personal information while protecting your privacy, balancing usability and security.

1.1 Scope of Application

  1. This Privacy Policy applies only to your use of our services within Mainland China (excluding Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan). If multiple language versions conflict, the Simplified Chinese version prevails.

To provide services, ensure security, and optimize user experience, CanJournals collects personal information in the following scenarios:

2.1 Registration and Login

To use cloud storage features, you must register and log in. Currently, you can create an account via third-party platforms like WeChat. We collect relevant information solely to complete registration. Per "minimum necessity" principles under Chinese regulations, we do not require phone numbers or additional personal data. Browsing CanJournals' website does not require registration.

Third-Party Login: If you use a third-party account (e.g., WeChat) to log in, we collect your username, nickname, profile picture, and authentication details solely for login and security purposes. Refusing authorization will not affect basic app functionality.

2.2 Operations and Security

To ensure stable and secure services, we collect:

2.2.1 Device and Log Information

  • Device identifiers (IMEI, Android ID, MAC address), IP address, network type, OS version, and other technical data.

  • Account and transaction details to verify identity, detect fraud, and prevent security incidents.

2.3 Journal Data

Cloud Sync: Enables data backup and cross-device synchronization. Synced data includes:

  1. Account information.

  2. Journals, entries, tags, schedules, uploaded images.

  3. Saved templates and stickers.

  4. App settings (themes, colors, preferences).

Notes:

  • Synced data is private and not visible to other users.

  • Only app-generated data is synced.

2.4 Transactions

For in-app purchases (e.g., premium features), we partner with third-party payment providers (WeChat Pay, Alipay). Payment processing may involve biometric verification. Review third-party privacy policies before use.

2.5 Events and Promotions

If you win prizes in events, we may request your name, address, and phone number for delivery. Providing this information is voluntary.

2.6 Feedback

When submitting feedback, we collect contact details, communication records, and related information to address issues and improve services.

2.7 Customer Support

To resolve inquiries, we may collect account details, contact information, and communication records.

2.8 Account Recovery

Account recovery requires verification via the original third-party login (e.g., WeChat). Lost third-party accounts require official documentation for recovery.

Most browsers allow cookie deletion, but this may disable certain features.

5.5 Access and Correction

View, edit, or export journal data via app settings. Some system-generated data (e.g., user IDs) cannot be modified for security.

6. Account Deactivation

6.1 Process

Deactivate via app settings. Irreversible. Data is deleted or anonymized, except where law requires retention.

6.2 Consequences

  • Loss of journals, settings, and virtual benefits.

  • Inability to reuse third-party logins for new accounts.

7. Protection of Minors

Users under 18 must obtain parental consent. We delete underage data collected without verified consent. Guardians may contact us with concerns.

8. Third-Party SDKs

8.1 WeChat Open Platform SDK

  • Purpose: Login, sharing, payments.

  • Data Collected: Nickname, profile picture, IP, device identifiers.

9. App Permissions

9.1 Android

  • Network access.

  • Storage (read/write for media uploads).

  • Vibration for feedback.

  • Background sync.

9.2 iOS/macOS

  • Network access.

  • Photo library access.

  • Local notifications.

  • Storage for exports.

10. Policy Updates

Significant changes (e.g., data usage, ownership) will be notified via app alerts. Continued use implies acceptance.
